Sandra Swain is an author and has a degree in journalism from The Ohio State University. She was a free-lance writer for The Columbus Dispatch, public relations director for Mt. Carmel Hospital in Columbus, a copywriter for Lazarus and other department stores, and worked in special education in Mentor, Ohio.  She wrote a history of Mentor Schools entitled By the Buckeye.  She was on the Board of Trustees at Lakeland Community College for 15 years and chaired the board for two years. She was selected as Lakeland’s Outstanding Community Citizen in 1999. She is currently a Realtor in the Cleveland Area and goes by the name Sandy Swain.
